COMPANY HISTORY
Celebrating over 30 years in business, Glycon is an innovator in the design and manufacturing of screws, barrels, non-return valves and other meltstream solutions for injection molding, extrusion and blowmolding. With a unique combination of standard products and custom engineering capabilities, Glycon helps plastics processors increase material throughput, shorten cycle time, improve mixing of color and additives, and generally enhance product quality and plant productivity.

Jeffrey A. Kuhman founded the company in 1976 and he continues as President and CEO today. Glycon originally operated under the name Great Lakes Feedscrews but changed to its present name when the business expanded to include the full range of meltstream products, backed by a wide array of technical resources, including advanced R&D, process problem solving, training and field service.

Today, Glycon meltstream solutions are at work around the world, increasing productivity and quality for companies like Berry Plastics Corporation, Custom-Pak, Lifetime Products, NIBCO Inc., Primex Plastics Corporation, Rexam Plc and Dow Chemical; and advancing the frontier of processing technology in cooperation with machine builders like Bekum America Corporation, Fong Kee Iron Works Co. Ltd. and Ube Machinery.
